Answering an orthopedic online Query: Some tips

 

While answering start with 'Hi / Hello'. (include the username in parenthesis).

 

Start with in response to your online request dated:

 

Make sure that your answer is at least '40 words or 4 lines'.  Try to be give a general background information on the condition and then proceed to specific questions that have been asked.

 

Please do not 'copy and paste' from other websites. It is however a good idea to support your opinion with links from other professional websites esp from reputed journals like JBJS and Cochrane reviews.

 

Please do not prescribe medicine in your answer. It is strictly prohibited and can lead to medicolegal hassles for you.

 

End the reply with 'Take care' or 'Wish you Good Health'.

 

Try to be professional in writing answers, donot use slang’s or short forms like ur, gr8.

 

Try to understand the user's intent of posting the question and make sure you have answered all the questions asked by the user.

 

Most users look forward for quality, precise and "to-the-point" answers to their queries.

 

Treat the person on other end with compassion and as real person. An act done in good faith never goes waist, so try to spread goodness and help others, it will come back to you in some form.
